How to Identify Airbag-Ready Suspension?

To identify whether your suspension is airbag compatible, inspect the top coil plate mounted on your chassis.

  • A square-shaped plate confirms a coil-only setup.
  • A rounded extension towards the shock absorbers indicates the system is airbag ready.

Key Checks for Better Stability

Make sure the following are properly set on your caravan:

  • Towball Weight:
Ensure it is within the recommended specifications
  • Chassis Level:
Caravan should sit level to the ground
  • Shock Absorber Bolts:
    Tightened correctly to 75 Nm
  • Wheel Alignment:
    Must be within proper specification
  • Tyre Pressure:
Maintain correct and even tyre pressure
  • Ride Height (Airbag Systems):
Ensure correct airbag height is maintained

General Recommendation

It is recommended to service your caravan at least once every 12 months or every 10,000–15,000 km, whichever comes first.
